Green Beans, string beans, or snap beans are a rich source of vitamin A, C, & K, & of folic acid & fiber. This nutrient-packed Green Bean Appetizer is an excellent low-calorie dietary choice that is perfect for acquiring vitamins & minerals without adding any unwanted pounds.
INGREDIENTS:
+ Green Beans – 250-300 gr
+ Lemon -1
+ Basil Leaves – for extra flavor (optional)
+ Pesto – 1 tbsp
+ Olive Oil – 2-3 tbsp
+ Salt – 1 tbsp for boiling water &
2-3 pinches for dressing;
+ Chili Flaked Pepper & Black Pepper – 1 tsp
+ Sesame seeds -1 tsp
PREPARATION:
– Cut the tips of pre-washed Green Beans
– Boil 1.5-2 L of water in a saucepan & put some Salt in it
– Mix water & add washed Green Beans. Make sure, water covers them all
– Cook Green Beans for 5-10 min on a medium heat until the vegetables
slightly change their colour, then take them out of water & drain
DRESSING:
– For Dressing: squeeze 1 Lemon into 1 tbsp of Pesto with finely cut
Basil Leaves
– Add Olive Oil, Salt, Flaked Chili Pepper, Black Pepper & mix well
– Put cooked & drained Green Beans in a serving dish & Pour Pesto-Basil
Dressing on top of Green Beans evenly
– Spread some Sesame Seeds on top of the Appetizer & serve
