WHEAT PUTTU / GOTHAMBU PUTTU
(Steamed Atta Puttu (Kerala’s Healthy Breakfast/dinner Recipe)
INGREDIENSTS:
Wheat Flour/ Atta- 6 to 7 TBS
Salt to taste
Grated Coconut
Water
METHOD :
Add salt in Wheat Flour, Mix once, Sprinkle water gradually, (sprinkle water slowly). and
Make crumble , (Not too loose )
Then add this into a dry Mixer Jar, add 1 TBS of dry wheat Flour, then Slowly Whip using Crush button,
Check Consistency (as shown in the video), If its wet, you can add little more dry flour and whip.
You can keep aside for 10 Min, or you can make it at the same time.
Boil water, and add little coconut in Puttu Mould after placing the mould plate, then add 3 to 4 TBS
Wheat flour mix and then little coconut and then Flour one after the other…(Don’t push or press it, better use a spoon). Then steam it for 4 to 5 Min. or till done.
Serve Hot with sprinkled sugar or Banana.
Healthy to eat for all age groups. (specially those who cant eat rice dishes)
