Recreating our favorite poke bowl from Daichan, a quirky restaurant in Studio City, serving Japanese soul food. This place has been serving poke bowl long before poke bowl became a craze and started popping up all over the place.

For the poke bowl, we steamed Nishiki Japanese rice, then topped the rice bowl with furikake, seared ahi tuna, pickled ginger, seaweed and lettuce from the backyard garden – romaine, amanda and freckled.
