**Falafel ingredients**
Chick peas – 1 cup ( **soaked in cold water overnight**)
Onion – 1/2
Garlic – 3 cloves
Cilantro – 1/4 cup
Coriander powder – 3/4 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1/4 tsp
Salt – To taste
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Water – 1 tbsp

Falafels are golden brown and crispy on the outside. The insides are tender, delicious, and full of fresh herbs.Once your chickpeas are sufficiently soaked, the falafel mixture comes together in no time. Falafels are gluten free and vegan, so they’re a great party appetizer.
Falafels freeze well, so they’re a fantastic protein-rich option to keep on hand for future meal and pita sandwiches.

To freeze: Place uncooked falafel patties on foil paper or parchment paper and freeze for 1 to 2 hours. Once hardened, transfer the patties into a freezer bag and freeze for up to 2 month. Falafel can be cooked from frozen by frying or baking.
