If I had to pick one thing I wished everybody knew how to make it would be chicken stock. Why? Because it is the base for most soups and sauces and the nutritional benefits make it worth its weight in gold. Yes, it takes time but not hands on time. Once you have the bones and veggies gently simmering in water you can walk away, but here’s a bonus. Your house is going to smell amazing and everyone that walks in is going to want to know, “What’s for dinner!” When it’s done you’ll have something that’s going to make your meals taste so much better and you’ll feel good knowing that what your eating is healthy and preservative free. The only way to really know what’s in your food is to prepare it yourself.
Keep on cooking! – Mary
