Healthy lifestyles have increased the consumption of salads in daily meals. However, who says salads are dull and cannot be tasty. Here is one salad made of Methi (Fenugreek) which is not only healthly but also tasty. Methi is usually not a choice for many, but I am sure a Methi Koshimbir (salad), which is a common salad in Maharashtra will be a bit hit amongst all those aiming at healthy eating. This salad will not take more than 10 mins of preparation time.
Ingredients –
Freshly chopped Methi (Fenugreek) (2 bowls)
Moong Dal (soaked for 4 hours)
Roasted Groundnut powder (2 teaspoon)
Chopped onion (1 small)
Fresh lime (1/2 teaspoon juice or 1/4 fresh lime)
Sugar (2 teaspoon)
Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
Ingredients for Tadka (Tempering) –
Mustard seeds (1/4 teaspoon)
Pinch of Asafoetida
Turmeric (1/4 teaspoon)
Red chilly (Depending on spice level desired)
Oil (1 tablespoon)
