INGREDIENTS:
2 cup Moong Dal
1 cup rice
Grated ginger- quantity to taste
1tsp salt (or to taste)
2 green chilli finely chopped
1/8 tsp Asafoetida (or to taste)
METHOD:
Soak moong dal (green gram) and rice in lukewarm water for 4-5 hours.
Grind it and add water if necessary to grind it to paste.
Add grated ginger, chopped green chilli, salt and asafoetida (hing).
Heat a non-stick pan.Once it is uniformly heated, pour the batter using a serving spoon and spread it evenly in a round shape (just like dosa or pancake
Cook on medium heat until the underside is done.
Carefully flip over and cook until the other side is done too.
Fold the cheela over to a half moon shape. Serve hot.
