Healthy no deepfry evening snacks “Tawa Bread Pakoda” (ತವಾ ಬ್ರೆಡ್ ಪಕೋಡ )
Recipe :-
For filling :-
Butter 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Onion chopped 1 cup
Tomato chopped 1 cup
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Hing / asafetida 1/4 tsp
Chat masala 1 tsp
Boiled mashed potato 1 bowl
Coriander leaves chopped
For batter :-
Gram flour / Besan 1 cup
Salt as per taste
Kasurimethi 1 tsp
Ajwain 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Water 1 cup
Other ingredients :-
Bread 10 slices
Oil for roasting
Heat butter in kadai, when it starts to melts add cumin seeds, onion, tomato, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, hing, salt and chat masala saute till tomato cook well.
Now add mashed potato and coriander leaves mix well keep a side.
Take all ingredients mentioned for batter in a bowl and combine well.
Now take bread slice apply potato mixture and cover with another bread slice.
Heat tawa in medium flame, add 1-2 tbsp oil, dip stuffed bread slices in besan batter, put it on hot tawa, cook both the sides and edges.
Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
