In this video I have shown how to prepare munthiri kothu recipe in easy way. Munthiri Kothu is a unique festival sweet particularly famous in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Kerala. It is made from green gram dal, coconut and jaggery for pooranam, rice flour batter for outer covering. It is a healthy snack because it is made with green gram and jaggery. Ingredients
For Batter :
Rice Flour or Raw Rice – 1 Cup
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp
Salt – As Required
For Pooranam :
Green Gram – 2½ Cup (500 gm)
Grated Coconut – 1½ Cup
Powdered Jaggery or Palm Jaggery- 2 Cups
Ghee – 2 Tbsp
Salt – 1 Pinch
Cardamom – 5 Pods
Dry Ginger – 1 Small Piece
