Hi I’m Thalia the dietitian and today I’m answering a different sort of question! It’s about me and do I ever feed my family PB&Js or Mac n Cheese. I wonder what you think I’ll say!

In my answer I’ll explain how I handle these foods and why.
I want to talk about the reality of serving easy foods like this – we’re all in a different situation (lots of you are new parents, and that is HARD!)

I’ll share some easy guidelines and nutrition-packed suggestions to help you and your family when you need a quick and easy meal.

My husband also wanted me to talk about making “dietitian-approved” mac n cheese. He’s always there asking if I’ve “dietitian-ed” a certain food, AKA making a less healthy food more healthy. So basically, I’m going to tell you why I try not to do that, and why I would encourage you to move this way as well – to a more mindful or intuitive approach.

If your child is struggling with obsessions around certain foods like dessert or processed foods, I designed a mini course that helps you confidently stop restricting, start talking confidently and positively about these foods AND foster a positive relationship with them for your child.
