I started Intermittent Fasting 22 months ago on July 15, 2017. I lost 30 pounds in the first 3 months and I have been able to keep it off ever since. 5 weeks into Intermittent Fasting I stared eating one meal a day (OMAD). There wasn’t many OMAD videos on YouTube and everyone thought I was crazy. But as I started losing the fat more people started asking. I have been doing Intermittent Fasting and eating OMAD for 22 months now. I lost 30 pounds in the first 90 days and more importantly, I have kept it off ever since. I lost a total of 6″ off of my waist. I used to have a 34″ waist and now its only 28″. The only downside to OMAD for me was all the money I spent on buying new clothes.
I made my first video to share my experience after I lost 25 pounds in 65 days. I didnt think too many people would be interested but I made it because I felt obligated to share my experience since it changed my life so drastically. I had a lot of people who had questions for me. Shortly after, I posted another video about OMAD this was my 6 month update and I wanted to cover some myths about strength and muscle loss. That video has over 100k views and I still get comments and questions on that video every single day.
I realized that there are so many people that were like me and I knew I had to make more videos to share my story and hope that I can help. One of the most asked questions that I still get today is “what do I eat for my One Meal A Day” I have made a couple of these videos, the issue is my one meal is 2 bowls of pho and unfortunately most people dont have access to eat pho so I wanted to make a video to show people how I eat my one meal a day when Im not at my restaurant.
I hope is my videos will encourage others to start Intermittent Fasting and change their life. I have been on every diet out there and nothing ever worked LONG TERM because I didnt fully understand how the body stores and burns fat. Like most people I got my diet advice from what I read in health magazines and mainstream media. I believed that calorie deficit was the only way to lose fat. I was on such strict diets for so many years that I messed up my metabolism.
In no way am I a doctor but I have done tons of research, but more importantly OMAD has worked for me. It is not easy and can be extremely difficult for people who don’t have a lot of will power or determination. I basically grinded my way through it and learned a lot over the past 2 years so I hope that this video can help those that are struggling.
