Pares Sauce:
*Ingredients*
1 tbsp oil
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger, minced
1 c beef broth or water + beef cube
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c brown sugar
2 pcs star anise
salt & pepper, to taste
slurry (cornstarch + water), to thicken (optional)
*Procedure*
saute onion, garlic, ginger. add the broth, soy sauce, sugar and anise. boil then season with salt and pepper. add the slurry when necessary. serve with the beef bean balls. enjoy!
