This homemade focaccia is surprisingly simple but makes rich, flavorful, and soft bread with ultra-crispy edges that you’re going to love!

INGREDIENTS
 5 cups flour;
 1 cup warm milk;
 1 cup warm water;
 1 tsp sugar;
 15 g (0.5 oz) fresh yeast;
 3 tbsp vegetable oil;
 Egg wash.

METHOD
 Whisk flour and salt together.
 Combine warm milk, water and sugar, then whisk crumbled fresh yeast into the liquids. Set aside until foam forms on the surface.
 Pour yeast solution and oil into the flour mixture. Knead the dough until it is smooth and slightly sticky. Drizzle with oil, cover and set aside for 1 hour.
 Knead the dough once more. Spread olive oil on the bottom of a large pizza pan, cover with parchment and stretch the dough all over the pan. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
 Brush egg wash over the surface. Make holes all over the flatbread using a toothpick and make incisions with a fork.
 Bake at 200C/400F for 30-40 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
