Here is an easy to make pumpkin or squash soup recipe you and your children will love to eat.
It is not so creamy yet delicious. This is also best food to relieve acid reflux and colds.

Ingredients:
Garlic, finely chopped
Onions, finely chopped
Bell pepper, finely chopped
Ginger, slice thinly (so that the children cannot eat it)
Squash or pumpkin, boiled and mashed
1 egg
Salt and pepper
Patis or fish sauce
1/4 cup milk
Water (do not throw the squash water.
Chicken or fish fillet (optional)
Chicken stock (optional)
oil

Boil the squash and mash. Keep the water for soup.

Boil the chicken and remove the bones. Cut chicken in small pieces. Keep the chicken stock for soup. This can be substituted with fish or pork.

Saute the garlic, onions, ginger and bell pepper in oil. Add the chicken, chicken stock and squash water. When it boils, add the squash, patis salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add the eggs and milk, stirring constantly until the egg is cooked.. serve hot.. best eaten with toasted garlic bread.
