Today I’m with a new recipe. “Green gram dosa / pesarattu” is a protien packed breakfast made with green gram and some spices.
The major health benefit of the green gram is their rich source of cholesterol reducing fibre. Considerable amounts of anti-oxidants, magnesium, folic acid and vitamin B6, also contribute to heart health.

Ingredients:-

Green gram – 200gms
Salt
Oil
Ginger
Jeera
Methi seeds
Urad dal
Red chillies
Tamarind
Jaggery
Little water
Coriander leaves
Onion

Preparation:-

• Soak green gram overnight and grind them by adding little water into it.
• Now that the batter is ready, add little salt and mix it really well.
• Keep the dosa batter aside, and start preparing ginger chutney. For that we need heat a pan and add 3-4 drops of oil.
• Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds/jeera, 1 tsp of fenugreek/ methi seeds, 2 tbs of urad dal, 5-6 red chillies and few pieces of ginger. Mix it well for 2-3mins.
• Once the mixture is cooled, put it in a grinder.
• Add tamarind, jaggery, little salt and water and grind. The ginger chutney is ready.
• Start making dosa and once it’s cooked, spread this chutney on the top of it, add onion pieces and coriander leaves. Fold it half. The dosa is ready.
