Daliya or cracked wheat is a healthy food which is very popular all over India. It has high fiber content. Dalia is low in fats that not only aids in weight management but also prevents Obesity. It is very versatile in preparation and can be had in breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Daliya Recipe:
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Total time: 15-20 mins
Ingredients for Daliya (Serves 4-5):
Daliya – 2 cup
Water – 3 glass
Desi Ghee – 3 tsp
Carrot – 1
Potato – 1
Tomato – 1
Beans – few
Green Chilli – 3-4
Rai – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Ginger – ½ inch
Dhaniya
Lemon Juice – 1/2
Roasted Peanuts – 1 cup
How to make Daliya
In cooker heat ghee and roast daliya for 5 mins
Add 3 glass water and cook on slow flame for 3-4 whistles
Chop all veggies finely
In a separate pan, heat 1 tsp ghee and roast jeera, rai
Add the chopped veg (except tomato) and cook for 5 mins
Add tomato, salt and cook for another 1 min
Put off flame, add lemon, dhaniya to it and set aside
Open cooker, add veggies to it and slow cook for 2 mins
Garnish with peanuts and server hot
