Easy no bake recipe that’s quick to prepare.
Ingredients
2 cups unsweetened dried grated coconut (powder)
1-2 tbsp butter or ghee
1/2 cup condensed milk ( u can use 1/2 cup coconut sugar to make it low calorie or add more condensed milk 🙂
1/4 milk (add more if too dry)
1 tsp cardamon powder
Chopped cashews
1/2 cup coconut powder for dusting
Food coloring
On low heat, melt butter, add coconut powder and gently toast together for about 10 mins. I prefer the coconut slightly brown, but you can leave it less brown.
Stir constantly.
Add condensed milk, and cardamon powder, stir to combine.
Add milk and mix well, cook for 5 mins.
Some coconut powder tend to be very dry, so add more if it feels too dry.
Fresh grated coconut can also be used, but will have to be oven dried or omit the milk.
Add chopped cashews, mix well and remove from heat.
Divide mixture and add color.
Press mixture together to form balls, roll in coconut powder and set in liner.
