Oats is a very popular breakfast option as it is low in fat, is a complex carb; which means you will stay full for longer and is full of fiber. Today I am sharing my recipe for OATS KHICHADI which is one of my favorite breakfast items as oatmeal is not only delicious but it also helps me to lose weight! Combine with your choice of protein to make it a good fulfilling meal!

Ingredients
• 1 teaspoon oil+1
• 1 cup cauliflower florets
• ½ cup carrots (cut into chunks)
• ¼ cup steamed peas
• ¼ teaspoon chopped ginger
• 1 green chilli (chopped)
• ¼ teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
• ¼ cup moong dal (washed and soaked in water)
• ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
• 1 cup quick rolled oats
• 1 teaspoon desi ghee/clarified butter (optional)
• Fresh coriander leaves (for garnishing)
• Salt to taste
