Garlic Chickpeas extra crispy and crunchy :
Ingredients required to make Garlic Chickpeas are as follows:
Chickpeas 2 cups soaked and patted dried.
Corn starch 2 tablespoons
Black salt 2 teaspoon
White regular Salt 1 teaspoon
Oil 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder 2 teaspoons
Black pepper powder 2 teaspoon
Garlic powder 1 and 1/2 tablespoons
You may also adjust the spices and salt as per taste.
Step by step procedure to make these are as follows:
Soak chickpeas overnight in some saltwater and by adding 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda into it. This helps in softening the chickpeas well.
Strain the water and clean and pat dry them by using a dry cotton cloth or a paper towel.
Refrigerate them in a ziplock bag for 4 to 5 hours
Take out and transfer the chickpeas into a bowl and add spices into it.
Combine and mix them nice
Into a flat plate transfer the mixture and coat the chickpeas well with the spices using hands.
Spread them nice on a flat baking tray onto a parchment paper.
Baking instructions :
Into a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit place the chickpeas onto a baking tray by placing a parchment paper on it and bake for around 35 to 40 minutes.
Take them out and allow to cool completely
Once cold put them back to the preheated oven at the same Temperature again for about 30 more minutes and re-bake to achieve extra crunchy texture.
Take them out and allow them to cool completely and enjoy right away or store in an airtight container for later use.
