This cottage pie recipe is a low-carb makeover. It contains plenty of vegetables that are full of nutrients and minced beef full of protein. Unlike traditional cottage pie recipe, it also contains below 400 calories per serving which is great for weight loss and keeping fit. Potatoes used in the traditional recipes are full of carbs and not recommended for healthy eating.

200g carrots
700ml mutton stock
2 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
600g turnip
300g butternut squash
150g frozen peas
50g creme fraiche (optional)
