Foxtail millet is rich in dietary fibre, protein, healthy micros (vitamin and minerals) and low in fat. Today’s recipe is a Karnataka state’s delicacy Bisi bele bath thats usually made from rice but we have made a healthier version by using foxtail millets. Its a very healthy recipe and tastes very good too!

Ingredients
Foxtail Millets – 300gms
Toor Dal – 100gms
Shallots – 15 Nos
Tomatoes – 3 Nos
Capsicum – 1 No
Carrots – 100 gms chopped
Beans – !50 gms chopped
Fresh green peas – 100 gms
Salt – 2 Tsp
Bisi bele bath/ Sambar powder – 3 Tsp
Tamarind water – 2 Tsp
For tempering
Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves
Dried red chillies – 2 Nos
