Welcome to @SheebasCookeryWorld. In today’s video, we will see how to make Trail Mix. It is a healthy snack made using dry fruits, nuts and seeds. It is loaded with nutrients and antioxidants.
Ingredients
Walnuts – 1 cup
Almonds – 1 cup
Cashews – 3/4 cup
Pistachios – 3/4 cup
Flax Seeds – 1/2 cup
Pumpkin Seeds – 1/2 cup
Watermelon Seeds – 1/2 cup
Sunflower Seeds – 1/2 cup
Regular Raisins – 1/2 cup
Black Raisins – 1/2 cup
Dried Cranberries – 1/2 cup
Preparation
Break the walnuts into 2 pieces
Dry Roast the nuts and seeds on a medium flame along with a pinch of salt, for 4 to 5 minutes.
Transfer them into a large bowl and allow to cool.
In the same pan, dry roast the seeds on medium flame and until slightly changes colour.
Transfer the seeds as well into the large bowl.
Mix well and allow the mixture to cool down completely.
Finally add in the raisins and dried cranberries.
Mix everything really well and your Trail Mix is ready.
I have used my favourite dry fruits and nuts for this recipe. However you can use any dry fruits and nuts of your choice. You may also add some dates to this. Store the Trail Mix in an air tight container. The Trail Mix will stay fresh for long if we store it in an air tight container.
You can always carry a small box of Trail Mix in your bag and snack on it whenever hungry. Have it while you are working from home or carry it to your work location or office.
The Trail Mix is loaded with several nutrients, which makes it a very healthy snack option.
