Healthy Vegetarian Burger I Healthy Food Recipes to Lose Weight

Hi! Welcome back to my channel. Today, I am going to share a cooking video about Healthy Vegetarian Burger. Burgers are so delicious and perfect when you have limited ingredients in your pantry. Open a can of chickpeas, add some spices, add some rice or quinoa and you have a delicious burger in no time.

Healthy Vegetarian Burger
Makes: Approx 10 patties
Cooking time: 30-40 minutes
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cuisine: International lunch/dinner

Ingredient:
500 grams boiled chickpea / 2 cans chickpea
1 cup boiled quinoa
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoon garlic
½ cup chopped parsley
2-3 tablespoon walnuts
Oil to cook

Spices:
1.5 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika/paprika
2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoon bbq sauce/tomato sauce/tomato paste
Salt to taste
Gluten-free buns
BBQ sauce
Mayonnaise
Coleslaw
Onion slices
Tomato slices
Jalapenos

Method:
Dry roast the walnuts for a couple of minutes in a warm cast iron skillet. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan add and heat the oil. Add chopped onion and garlic roast lightly till golden brown at low heat.
Add the spices like cumin powder, paprika, oregano and salt.
Give a stir and add tomato sauce/bbq sauce and brown sugar.
Add the cooked quinoa and drained chickpeas .mash lightly with the back of the spoon and remove from heat.
Cool the mixture in the refrigerator. Process the walnuts and the chickpea mixture, along with parsley.
Make patties from the processed mixture, this could yield 12 large and 15 medium patties. Refrigerate (optional)
Cook the patties both the sides till golden and crispy in oil.
Assemble them with lettuce, onion, tomato and bbq sauce.
Serve with extra mayonnaise and coleslaw.
