Fattoush Salad | Salad with crunchy bread | Middle East Salad | Healthy Easy and Quick Recipe
Ingredients:
4 Cucumber (cut into square shape)
2 medium Capsicum (cut into square shape)
Lettuce (cut into square shape)
Handful of Mint leaves chopped
Handful of Parsley chopped
1 large Tomato (cut into square shape)
Khubus or Pita bread
Garlic powder
Sumac powder
Salt to taste
1 lemon squeezed(fresh)
Olive oil
Method:
1. In an empty bowl, mix the following ingredients cucumber, capsicum, lettuce, mint leaves and parsley. Add salt and 1 tsp garlic powder.
2. For dressing of the salad: squeeze lemon in a bowl add 2tbsp olive oil to it and 1/2 or 1tsp Sumac powder. Mix this well and pour it on the salad.
3. Prepare the crunchy bread: Cut khubus or pita bread into square pieces. Take it in a baking dish and add 2tbsp olive oil, 1tsp garlic powder and salt to taste. Mix it well and bake it for 5-7 minutes at 180 degree.
4. Serve the salad by garnishing with the bread.
Note: Sumac powder is tangy in flavour so add according to your taste.
