Hot Dog Sandwich Recipe by Food Prescription
Ingredients:
• Soya chunks (1/2 cup)
• Onion (1 small sized)
• Ginger garlic paste (1tsp)
• Bell pepper (1/2 cup)
• Chopped Carrots (1 small sized)
• Boiled Corns (1/4th cup)
• 1 Boiled potato
• Turmeric powder (1/2 TSP)
• Red chilli powder (1 tsp)
• Garam masala (1 tsp)
• Salt (1 tbsp)
• Oil (to shallow fry)
• 2 hotdog buns
• Lettuce leaves
• 1 cheese slice
• Sliced Olives
• Sliced Onion
• Mayonnaise
• Hot sauce (mayo+ ketchup+ red chilli sauce)
Method:
• Boil soya chunks for 5 min and then strain it out.
• Squeeze out all the water from soya chunks and grind it for 5 sec (on pulse mode)
• Set aside the soyabean mixture.
• Now, add 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste. Saute for a couple of minutes.
• Add bell peppers, carrots, and boiled corn.
• Saute for 5 min on low to medium flame or until all the moisture is evaporated.
• Now add the soybean and 1 grated potato
• Mix it nicely and then add all the spices with salt.
• Add some water if the mixture feels too dry.
• Cook for 3-4 min and then grind this mixture for 10-15 seconds only.
• Take this mixture out on a plate and add breadcrumbs (3tbsp)
• Then take a big portion of this mixture and roll into a seekh roll ( apply some oil on the palms if the mixture feels sticky)
• Coat the seekh roll with breadcrumbs.
• Shallow fry seekh rolls for 2 min on each side
• The seekh rolls are ready now, It’s time to assemble
• Assembly:
• Slice the hotdog buns.
• Place the lettuce leaves, some cheese slices.
• Add sliced onions, sliced olives, and then place the seekh roll.
• Place some mozzarella cheese if you wish to.
• Froze mayonnaise and hot sauce.
• Grill the prepared hot dog sandwich or microwave it till the cheese melts (2-3 min)
• And the delicious, healthy hotdog sandwiches are ready to eat!!!
