In this video learn how to make a 100% Whole Wheat Bread without Yeast. This bread is a no-knead, no proofing bread, and needs no bread machine and can be prepared super quick and tastes absolutely delicious.
Ingredients –
Whole Wheat Flour – 3 Cups / 375g
Baking Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 3/4 tsp
Olive Oil – 4 tbsp
Honey – 2 tbsp
[For Buttermilk]
Vinegar – 2 tbsp
Milk – 2 Cup / 500 ml to make buttermilk and ~1/2 cup / 125 ml extra to add later depending on your flour mixture.
Method –
Pre-heat your over at 375 F or 190 C.
Grease your baking pan with some butter, sprinkle with some flour and dust off the excess, set aside.
Add 2 tbsp of vinegar in 2 cups of milk, keep it aside.
Sieve Whole Wheat Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and Salt.
After 5-6 mins you will see your buttermilk is ready, now to that add olive oil and honey, give it a mix.
Pour the wet ingredients to the dry, mix everything well. But don’t over mix it. Now transfer the batter in a greased pan.
Bake at 375 F 190 C for 40-45 mins or till a skewer comes out clean.
*Note: You can make it on the stovetop too. Add around 1 1/2 cups of salt in a karahi, place a trivet stand in it, cover it with a lid and preheat it for 15 mins on medium flame. After that put the bread pan cover it and cook it on low to medium flame for approximately 40-45 mins. The total time might slightly vary for you, but you should get a similar result. Make sure to check it once after approximately 30 minutes so it doesn’t get burnt.
