Ingredients
2 cup maida / fine flour
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup batik rawa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
Oil
Water
Procedure
Take a pot. Put maida. Add wheat flour ,batik rawa & salt. Mix it very well.
Take a small pan. Put pan on gas. Gas flame is on. Put 1 tablespoon oil. Gas flame is slow. When this oil is hot ,gas flame is off. This is called Mohan in Marathi. Put this Mohan. Add milk. Mix it very well. Add water step by step & make a dough. Cover this dough with white cotton cloth & soak this for 1 hr.
After 1 hr ,add 1/2 teaspoon sugar in it & make a dough. Knead this dough for 5 min. Take small ball of dough. Take roti roller & roll a Puri.
Take a pan. Put pan on gas. Gas flame is on. Put oil in it. When oil is hot ,gas flame is medium & throw this Puri in oil & deep fry.
This Puri is ready to eat.

Some important information about Gudi padwa
Wish you all a Happy Gudi padwa. Beginning of the Marathi new year is chaitra pratipada. This is called Gudi padwa. In Hindu religious ,first festival is Gudi padwa. In 3& 1/2 auspicious important this is one of the auspicious. Gudi padwa gets its name from two words – Gudi meaning flag of independence & padwa means victory flag. In this day Lord Brahma creats world & universe. It is believed that this festival is celebrated to commemorate the coronation of Rama post his return to Ayodhya after completing 14 years of exile. All people welcoming Lord Rama building up Gudi & Titan. We worship Gudi offering new cloth ,mango leaves ,neem leaves ,flowers ,sweet putala Mal ,copper kalash & halad – kunku. Make an offering sweet.
We celebrate Gudi padwa this is Ayurvedic importance as well. On this day ,on empty stomach eat jaggery & neem leaves. If neem leaves are bitter ,but eating neem leaves increases health ,strength ,memory & brightness. Because of cold ,tiredness disappears. This is very effective. That’s why eat neem leaves. Because of neem leaves ,doesn’t spoil cereals. This month the beginning of spring season. Foliage to sprout of chaitra. Nature’s climate is delightful. In this climate ,the beginning of new year.
