I FINALLY went Back to the gym (my apartment gym) and did an upper body workout. Later I made an amazing high protein dinner recipe called “Texas Hash.” Follow me through my day to the gym and learn how to make this delicious and healthy high protein dinner!

**RECIPE FOR “HEALTHY TEXAS HASH”**
INGREDIENTS:
-1 Packages of Lean Ground Turkey (I used Foster Farms 99% fat free)
-1 Package of Taco Seasoning (I used half of it)
-1 Sweet Potato (medium sized)
-1 large Green Pepper
-1/2 Yellow Onion
-1 Full Can of a Tri-bean mix (mine had pinto, black and kidney beans..if you can’t find this use any or 1/3 can of each bean)
-1 Full Can of Diced Tomatoes with juice
-1 teaspoon of Tomato Paste
-Salt to taste
-Avocado (for slices on top)

DIRECTIONS:
Start by chopping up sweet potato, green pepper and onion into small pieces as seen in video. Place sweet potato cubes in microwave for 4 minutes to pre-cook (if you don’t, they take FOREVER on the stove). Place all three into deep pan as seem in video. Make sure to grease pan. Cook ground turkey in separate pan and add taco seasoning (I used 1/4 of package in turkey and 1/4 in other mixture with green peppers, etc). Once turkey is done, turn off stove. Next, begin cooking mixture with green peppers, sweet potatoes, etc. Add 1/2 cup of water to help increase moisture in mixture. Once this mixture is almost done cooking, add in tomato paste, can of diced tomato, 1/4 package of taco seasoning and beans. Cook for 3-5 more minutes and then add in ground turkey. Mix turkey in and let simmer on low with lid on for 5 minutes. Remove from stove and let cool. Serve with sliced avocado on top and salt to taste.
