* 6 green chilis, finely chopped
* 3 eggs
* 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
* 1 bunch of cilantro, chopped
* 2 tsp red chili powder, adjust to your taste
* 1 tsp crushed red chilies
* 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
* 1 tsp Garam Masala
* Salt to taste
For Frying
* 1 egg, beaten or Milk
* 1/2 cup bread crumbs
* Oil or cooking spray
Preparation
1. Cook potatoes in the instant pot / stove top pressure cooker or microwave until they are tender.
2. Here i used instant pot, add 1 cup of water in the inner pot and place potatoes in the trivet. Pressure cook for 10 minutes and Natural pressure Release after 10 minutes. Open the lid and mash the potatoes and keep aside.
3. Open up the cans of tuna, wash and drain the water. Try to squeeze the water and Press it with your hand.
4. In a big mixing bowl, add tuna, mashed potatoes, egg, grated onion, chopped green chilies, chopped cilantro, ginger garlic paste and all the masala with salt. Mix it all together really well.
5. Shape the tuna mixture into patties. If patties are too soft to handle, chill them for at about 1 hour or until firm. This will make them easier to handle during frying.
6. Beat 1 egg, and take 1/2 cup of bread crumbs and set aside. Dip kabab in egg and then in bread crumbs.
7. Here I tried both air fryer and shallow fry method.
8. Air Fryer: Preheat Air Fryer to 370 F for 3 minutes. Spray the basket with cooking spray. Place the kabab in the basket and air fry for 13-15 minutes. In between flip the side and spray the cooking spray or brush with little oil. Once it’s ready remove from the air fryer.
9. For stovetop frying: Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Fry both sides of the tuna patties until they are golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side on medium heat. Enjoy!
