A single 1 ounce serving of Almonds contain more than 15 vitamins and minerals such as Magnesium and Riboflavin. Almonds are low in carbs at around 5 grams of carbohydrates 3 of which are fiber giving them a net carb of only 2 grams! And with 6 grams of protein they are sure to satisfy you.
03:00 Veggies and Hummus.
2 tablespoons only has about 3 grams of carbs with 1 gram fiber leaving a balance of only 2 net carbs!
03:49 Cottage Cheese.
1 half-cup of cottage cheese has about 13 grams of protein and only 4 grams of carbohydrates! Just go easy on the topping and this can be the perfect snack.
04:36 Edamame.
A 1 cup serving of Edamame contains about 17 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber with about 15 grams of carbohydrates. That means it only has about 7 grams of net carbs per serving.
05:09 Greek Yogurt.
Greek yogurt has twice the amount of protein as regular yogurt which gives it the power to keep you feeling fuller, longer. Yogurt has only 90 calories, 5 grams of carbs and 18 grams of protein!
05: 50 Cheese.
String cheese is a portable, low carb and easy snack option. The “Light” string cheese has only 50 calories, 2.5 grams of total fat and 1 gram of carbohydrate per stick! Not to mention it’s a great source for calcium.
06:30 Tuna.
Try tuna with diced veggies such as red bell pepper, cucumber and green onion. Mayo isn’t the best idea but a great substitute that can still give you that creamy texture is avocado! If you mash up a ripe avocado and season, it can easily replace mayo and is much healthier. You can also use the tuna, veggies and avocado mixture as a dip and use sliced veggies as a “chip” or try using a lettuce leaf as a wrap.
07:28 Crispy Roasted Chickpeas.
Chickpeas have made it onto this list again! Roasted chickpeas are so simple to make and can satisfy your crunchy, salty snacking need..¼ cup of chickpeas contains about 74 calories and has 12 grams of carbohydrates with 3.5 being fiber leaving it with only 8.5 grams of net carbs.
08:25 Fruit.
Berries are one of the best fruit options for diabetics. Raspberries and blackberries have the fewest carbohydrates per serving. Raspberries have about 3 grams of net carbs per ½ cup and blackberries have about 4 grams net carbs per ½ cup.
09:29 Air-Popped Popcorn.
3 cups of air-popped popcorn contain about 90 calories, 18 grams of carbohydrates with 4 grams of fiber with a total net carb of 14 grams.
