Parsi Patrani Machchi | Patrani Macchi Recipe – How To Make Patrani Macchi – Healthy Recipes

Ingredients

500 gms fish fillets (pomfrets / Kingfish)
1/2 tsp lime juice
3 banana leaves for fish wrapping
salt
For Chutney
1 cup coriander leaves
1 cup mint leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds
4 green chillies
1/2 cup coconut grated
7 cloves garlic
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
salt

Method

Wash and Clean the fish with water and apply lime juice and little salt and marinate it for 30 minutes.
Blend the chutney ingredients in a blender to a smooth paste.
Make thin slits on the fish on both sides and apply this chutney on the fish and in the slits.

Place the banana leaves on the steamer for a few seconds on both sides, which make the leaves soft.
Now wrap the fish pieces completely with the banana leaves with a string tied around to keep it firm.
Steam the marinated fish for 15 to 20 minutes or till its cooked.
Serve it hot with the leaves wrapped and steamed rice.
