We love the designs by HGTV’s Christina Haack from Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast, but will we love her healthy recipes? Christina Haack shared her favorite healthy snack recipe for Berry Oatmeal Bars and we had to try it. She’s a declared health nut and we wanted to see if being healthy also meant no flavor. It’s an easy recipe, mixing our dry and wet ingredients and then baking our bars. The question is, will a no sugar granola bar satisfy our hunger? Will we stop buying store granola bars? Will our kids embrace no sugar in their diet? Will us mom’s feel better making and feeding our kids healthy treats? Lots of questions, only one way to find out. Will this be a flip or a flop?

QUICK TIPS WE LEARNED AFTER TEST:
1. Do not do the 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk. This measurement has to be wrong as it made our bar into oatmeal even after baking longer than noted. Maybe it’s 2 tablespoons? Or 1 cup? We weren’t excited enough to try it to see.
2. If you want sweetness, there is none in her recipe. You can add honey or agave or a little brown sugar to sweeten it up.
3. If you too get mush, we did add a 1/2 cup of sugar to the mix and made oatmeal. Just stick in your fridge to eat over the week as it’s a lot.
