In this recipe, I used Skyr.
An often overlooked low-calorie, high-protein yogurt-like dairy product.
What is Skyr?
Skyr is a dairy food similar to yogurt that the Icelandic people have been producing for at least 1,000 years.
It is thicker and creamier than yogurt, with a high protein value. They use almost 400 g of milk to make 100 g of Skyr.
I’ve only made 8 rolls, but you can make 10 smaller ones that will still be the perfect size for a sandwich.
You can store them in a glass container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, but they usually run out sooner …
Ingredients for Perfect fitness bread rolls for breakfast:
1C (200g) Oat Flour
1C (200g) whole wheat Spelt Flour
3tbsp Olive Oil
1 medium Egg
1C (200 g) Skyr or Greek Yogurt
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Sea Salt
1C Water
2 tbsp Honey (optional)
Mixed Seeds
Bake at 180 °C or 356 F for 20 minutes.
