A healthy and tasty millets dosa breakfast for a bright and active day!
Ingredients:
1 cup finger millets/ragi
1 cup pearl millets/kambu
1 cup blackgram / karupu ulundhu
1 cup sorghum/cholam
1 cup idly rice
salt to taste
cooking oil as needed
water as needed
Preparation:
1. To a bowl add in all the millets and black gram and wash them thoroughly with water.
2. Drain the excess water and soak the ingredients in water for 4-5 hours.
3. After the grains have finished soaking. grind them to a smooth batter (Wet Grinder is preferred).
4. Add salt, mix it well and allow it to ferment for 7-8 hours. Overnight is good.
5. The batter is well fermented. Now it mix the batter thoroughly and it is ready.
6. Spread the batter on a hot tawa and drizzle a teaspoon of oil/ghee.
7. Allow it to crisp on both sides.
8. Healthy and tasty millets dosa is ready. Serve hot with some onion and red chilly chutney.
