I remember the time I couldn’t cook for my hubby because it was pretty frustrating that it didn’t taste the way I wanted it and I was making mistakes, but he encouraged me by saying, “for me, I can see cooking like an art, I know there’s an art in your heart.” It comforted me right away. I learned to enjoy cooking now. He brings out the best in me. That’s how “serene kitchen” was born.
Also, I salute his dedication to everything he does and hands up his hard work, so I want to cook something special for him in return. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Yay! He said he’s in love whenever I cook for him and our child. So, I’m thinking of preparing a healthy lunch for my hubby.
How about pan-seared salmon, kinpira gobo (braised burdock root), sauteed spinach with tofu, and miso soup? Let’s do these!
