Jeera Rice Dum Aloo Combo
Jeera Rice Recipe –
Add oil and ghee in pan. Add bay leaves,star anise and cumin
Let them crackle… pat put pat!!
Add Soaked rice and fry for a while
Add double the amount of water and on low flame cook for 20 mins
You will get most fluffy jeera rice cooked.

Dum Aloo or Alu Dum is a potato based dish, it is a part of the traditional Kashmiri Pandit cuisine, from the Kashmir Valley, in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The potatoes, usually smaller ones, are first deep fried, then cooked slowly at low flame in a gravy with spices
Steps –
Boil Baby Potatoes. Keep them hard boiled.
Once cooled down, prick them with the help of fork. This helps in soaking the gravy properly in the aloo.
After that fry the aloo with red chilli and turmeric powder. This would bring perfect color of dum aloo when it goes into dum aloo gravy.
Add some salt and golden fry them.
let’s make the gravy now for dum aloo. heat oil and add onion paste. a spoon of ginger garlic and some green chilli. All these will make a perfect and tempting dum aloo.
Add tomato paste and all spices.( You can also try your own flavor on spices for dum aloo).
fry till masala leaves oil.
Add water and let it boil. The aromatic smell of dum aloo would start spreading.
Then add baby potatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Wow dum aloo is getting ready.
Last add kasoori methi and coriander leaves.
Serve hot!!
