This is most definitely the simplest garlic bread recipe in the world and if you use a non-stick pan with no oil, it will also be the lowest calorie garlic bread ever. So, if you want a quick, crunchy, garlicky dinner or just a light snack, get your non-stick pan ready, leave oil in the cupboard, go get a proper loaf of farmer’s, sourdough or rye bread and follow along. A quick note – do not use French or sandwich bread, they are too soft and you wouldn’t be able to smear garlic on them – it would break through.
