Back to basic meals for maximum weight loss on the starch solution is how we are starting 2022. If you have gained a few pounds over the holidays or maybe just got off track then this is the video for you. I will be showing you my basic go to meals for maximum weight loss for 2022. Here are the recipes for these back to basic meals for maximum weight loss for 2022
#1 Japanese and Hannah Yams
Cut the ends off of the yams, no need to poke holes, the steam will escape out of the sides. Bake for one hour @ 375 degrees.

#2 50/50 plate
Ingredients
small Yukon gold potatoes cut in half
one 16 ounce bag of any frozen veggie blend you like
garlic powder
onion powder
smoked paprika
nutritional yeast
Instructions:
Place the cut potatoes in a bowl
season with garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika and toss till well coated with seasonings. Place in air fryer basket and set at 390 degrees and cook for 18 to 20 minutes and shake half way through. Meanwhile place the veggies in a microwave safe bowl, with 1 T of water and cover and microwave for 5 to 6 minutes. Then you will drain any excess water and then season with garlic powder, onion powder and nutritional yeast and toss while they are still hot.
Build your plate with half of your plate with the veggies and the other half with the potatoes serve with catsup or BBQ sauce.

#3 Creamy garlic chickpea soup
Ingredients:
2 cans chick peas
1 carrot finely chopped
1/2 of an onion finely chopped
1 large potato chopped
3 cloves of garlic
2 cups veggie broth
12 to 1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1/8 to 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
2 cups finely chopped greens (I used baby kale and baby spinach)
Instructions:
Drain and rinse one can of the chickpeas and set aside then add the entire contents of the other can to a blender and blend till smooth.
Set instant pot to saute and add 1/4 cup water and saute garlic, onions and carrots for 5 minutes. Cancel saute mode and add the rest of the ingredients except the greens and cook for 15 minutes on manual setting then quick release and add the greens, stir and let sit for 5 minutes then enjoy!
#4 Hash browns with veggies
Ingredients:
frozen hashbrowns
frozen peppers and onions
garlic powder
onion powder
smoked paprika
Instuctions:
Preheat a good non stick pan. Pan is ready when you add a few drops of water and the water beads up and bounces. To a bowl all ingredients and stir and add to the pan and press down to one layer and let cook for 5 minutes or so on medium high heat. When the edges start to brown then you can either stir or flip. I don’t have very good luck flipping so I stir and the press down and cook for another few minutes. Serve with catsup, BBQ sauce or salsa.
