Urad Dal – 1 Cup
Foxtail Millet (Korralu) – 2 Cups
Fenugreek Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pinch of Baking soda
Procedure:

Add Fenugreek Seeds in Urad dal. Wash them thoroughly. Let them soak in water individually for 6-8 hours. Grind urad dal & fenugreek seeds and Korralu seperatly. Mix batter well and ferment it for 6-8 hours. Add salt and pinch of baking soda in fermented batter, add water if necessary and mix batter well. Now batter is ready to make idly.
Coconut Chutney and sambar goes well as side dish for idli.
