This dessert to lose weight is fat burning, delicious and if you like the idea of mint and chocolate, I know you are going to love the recipe.

Honestly, I love to eat something sweet once a day and usually feel like some kind of a protein bar. But protein bars are not always that healthy and usually contain sugar.

This is a YUMMY alternative that is sugar-free, grain-free and low in carbs. It’s the perfect snack to go with coffee or my favorite, a turmeric latte :).

Ingredients:

Healthy Fat Burning Peppermint Patties:

1 cup cacao paste or Lily’s chocolate chips
Liquid stevia (if using cacao paste)
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped organic sprouted nuts of choice
1 cup coconut butter
1 tsp organic peppermint flavouring
Silicone or lined Mini muffin tin, or candy mold

Melt cacao paste or chips in a double boiler ( a pot with an inch of simmering water and a heat proof bowl on top).

Once melted, mix in shredded coconut and chopped nuts.

Pour 1 tbsp chocolate mixture into mini muffin tins. Put in the fridge and allow to harden.

Melt coconut butter by placing coconut butter jar in hot water. Once softened, pour into a blender and blend until smooth. Add peppermint flavouring.

Spoon 1 tbsp of coconut butter mixture on top of hardened chocolate layer. Place in the fridge to harden.

Finally, spoon the rest of the chocolate o top of the hardened coconut butter layer.

Place in the fridge to harden, remove from muffin tins and store in an airtight contained. Remove from fridge for 5 minutes and allow to soften a bit before eating.
