In this video, learn how to prepare mullangi chutney
RECIPE: WHITE RADISH CHUTNEY
INGREDIENTS:
White radish- 1 grated
Onion- 1 chopped
Tamarind pulp- 1 inch
Asafoetida- a pinch
Dry red chilli- 10
Curry leaves- as required
Oil- 1.5 spoon
Channa dal- 1 spn
Urad dal- 1 spn
Salt- as required
For tempering(optional):
Gingelly oil- 1 spn
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Urad dal- 0.5 spn
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. Heat a pan, add 1.5 spn of oil.
2. In the hot oil splutter urad dal and channa dal and reduce the heat to minimum.
3. Add dry chilli, curry leaves and saute till the aroma comes out.
4. Transfer this to mixer grinder.
5. In the same pan add the chopped onion and saute until it turns translucent.
6. Then add the grated radish, tamarind pulp and season with some salt.
7. Saute this until the water drains out.
8. Turn off the heat and let it cool down.
9. After 10 mins add this to the mixer grinder and grind it to make chutney.
10.Tempering: Add gingelly oil and temper with mustard seeds and urad dal. Then add this to chutney. Its optional.
11.Healthy radish chutney is ready to serve.
