OVEREATING – BREAKING FREE

☑️ Save this post and revisit it – whenever you get stuck in overeating cycles.

If we are struggling in finding balance with our portion sizes, we don’t just want to force ourselves to do better next time but see this challenge from a holistic viewpoint and discover our personal triggers.

These could be physical, emotional but also habitual and even mental with old beliefs like “always having to eat up”. Diving deep and identifying those causes in our own life, can help us to not only overcome overeating with more ease, but also tackle the underlying issues at the same time which can give us more health power, personal growth, peace and happiness in life.

When it comes to possible physical causes, here are just a few:

🌿 not eating enough enough health carbohydrates (like fruits or potatoes), which can lead to hunger attacks and cravings

🌿 lacking nutritional power in our meals, therefore still feeling hungry even when our stomach is already full

🌿 having too much fat in our diet which can interfere with sugar absorption, making real nourishment difficult for our body

🌿 an overburdened liver (by high fat, stress or pathogens) which can’t properly store glucose anymore, leading to onging hunger

💫 At the end, please don’t be hard on yourself whenever you catch yourself eating beyond your hunger. This is a process and it can take time, continuous effort and patience to break old habits and create a new path for ourselves. In those moments, forgive yourself right away, identify the cause for this drawback and set a new intention for your next meal.
