I’ve made my fair share of Keto Naan, Flatbread, Tortillas etc. I’m on a never ending quest to find good bread alternatives and I knew the second I put these in the pan they would be a winner.
I used the basic set of ingredients from the Keto Connect Naan with some tweaks to quantities and the addition of the holy grail Keto secret ingredient: egg whites.
The result was a bread that was soft and pliable, with a satisfying tear-ability that I really missed from Naan. Honestly they are amazing and I would bet they will be the best Keto Naan you’ve tried.
RECIPE
– 3/4 cup coconut flour
– 3 tbsp psyllium husk
– 1/2 tsp baking powder
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 tsp crushed garlic
– 2 egg whites
– 1.5 to 2 cups of boiling water
1. Mix all dry ingredients together
2. Add egg whites and stir to mix
3. Add boiling water a dash at a time, stirring as you go until the texture resembles playdough
4. Leave to sit for 5 minutes
5. Divide dough into 6 balls, wet the palm of your hand and flatten each ball on a sheet of baking paper
6. Fry on medium-high heat, using butter or coconut oil (or both!)
The Naan Bread will be super soft when you first take them out of the pan, and will set a little bit more in about 2 minutes.
