Healthy Low Calorie Shawarma Bowl!

479 calories per serving – 56g protein / 43g carbs / 9g fat

This has got to be one of my favorite most flavorful weight loss meals! So much volume for the amount of calories, these kind of meals are perfect for weight loss as they keep you full for ages and plus it’s absolutely delicious🤌🏽🤤

For the chicken marinade:

• 300g chicken breast cut into cubes
• 1 heaped tsp paprika
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp oregano
• 1 tsp turmeric
• 1 tsp cumin
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp salt & pepper
• 1/2 lemon juice
If the colour doesn’t change add more seasoning!
Cook for 3-4 mins on medium high heat till golden brown

Garlic sauce:

• 100g low fat yogurt (creamier the better)
• 1 tsp fresh minced/crushed garlic
• 1/2 tap salt & pepper
• 1/2 or less lemon juice
Blend till smooth

Yellow rice:

• 110g washed Basmati rice (for 2 servings)
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
• 1/2 tsp cumin
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp salt

Cucumber salad:

Chopped cucumber and tomato and mix with the garlic sauce

Serve with:

• 120g cooked rice per serving
• Lettuce
• Red onion mixed with sumac or lemon juice
• Pickles
• Cucumber salad
• Generous amount of garlic sauce
