Red rice poha is a healthy Indian breakfast recipe. This dish is prepared from flattened red rice to which veggies of one’s choice can be added. This particular variety of rice is full of antioxidants, Vit B, magnesium, calcium and iron; thus, making this one of the most nutritious foods. This is also preferred by weight watchers. This can be very easily prepared at home.

Ingredients: –
2 cups red rice poha / red flattened rice
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp mustard seeds / rai
1 tsp cumin seeds / sabut jeera
Few chopped curry leaves / kadi patha
1” piece ginger grated / adrak
2 to 3 finely chopped green chillies / hari mirch
1/4th tsp asafoetida / hing
2 tbsps raw ground nuts / singdana
4 onions finely chopped / pyaz
2 capsicums finely chopped / Shimla mirch
1 potato boiled and cubed / aloo
½ tsp turmeric powder / haldi
1 tsp Indori poha masala / jeeravan (or a combo of cumin and red chilli powder)
1 tsp sugar / shakkar
Freshly grated coconut as desired / nariyal
Fresh coriander leaves / hara dhania
Extract of ½ a lemon / nimbu ka ras
Fine sev
Salt as per taste
