Ingredients for Chickpea Salad –

~ Chickpea – 1 cup (soaked & boiled)
~ Cucumber – 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
~ Onion – 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
~ Tomato – 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
~ Fresh Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
~ Green Chilli – 1-2 (finely chopped)
~ Ginger – 1/2 inch (finely chopped)
~ Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp
~ Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
~ Cumin Powder – 1/4 tsp
~ Chat Masala – 1/4 tsp
~ Black Salt – 1/4 tsp
~ Mixed Seeds – 1 tbsp (optional)
~ Lemon Juice – 1/2
~ Oil – 1 tsp
~ Salt – (as per taste)

Method for Preparing Chickpea Salad –

~ Soak and boil the Chickpeas before hand for this recipe.
~ Finely chop all the veggies in advance like cucumber, onion, tomato, green chilli, ginger, fresh coriander leaves.
~ Then add finely chopped onion and saute them until they become soft.
~ Heat frying pan with oil, cook the soaked and boiled chickpea with some salt and chilli powder for 5 mins.
~ Once done transfer it to a separate bowl and let it cool.
~ Into a separate bowl add all the chopped veggies, cooked chickpea, black pepper, cumin powder, chat masala, black salt and mix well.
~ Sprinkle some mixed seeds on top, this ingredient is totally optional.
~ Our vegan and gluten free chickpea salad is ready to be served!
