In less than 10 minutes, makhana (lotus seeds or fox nuts) and a few spices are combined to create Masala Makhana, also known as Roasted Phool Makhana Masala.

Ingredients to make Masala Makhna
Lotus Seed – 1 cup
Ghee – 2 tsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Curry Leaves

Method to make Masala Makhana
1. Roast Makhana in ghee for 5 minutes
2. In ghee roast all spices with curry leaves and mix with roasted makhana.
3. Store in an airtight jar.
