Made with a combination of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, white sesame seeds, and black sesame seeds, this recipe is packed with healthy fats and protein to keep you feeling full and satisfied. The addition of psyllium husk powder and herbs gives these crackers a crispy texture and delicious flavor.
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
* 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
* 1/4 cup chia seeds
* 1/4 cup white sesame seeds
* 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
* 2 tbsp psyllium husk powder (or 4 tbsp ground flaxseed) (or 4 tbsp ground chia seed)
* 1 tsp coarse sea salt (adjust to your taste)
* 2 tsp dried oregano (or other herbs of your choice)
* 1/2 cup cold water
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, psyllium husk powder, dried oregano, and sea salt. Mix everything together well.
2. Slowly pour in the cold water and mix until all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes to thicken.
3. Preheat your oven to 150C/300F. Spread the seed mixture on an ungreased baking tray to your desired cracker thickness. If the mixture still feels too loose, sprinkle a small amount of psyllium husk powder over the top.
4. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until crispy. You can cut the crackers into desired shape halfway through the baking time if you like.
5. Remove the tray from the oven and let the crackers cool for a few minutes.
6. Once cool, your crispy bread is ready to enjoy!
