LOW CALORIE CARROT HALWA
⬇️⬇️INGREDIENTS ⬇️⬇️
🔶Carrots-1 kg
🔶Ghee (Clarified Butter)-1 tsp
🔶Green cardamom-5
🔶Low fat milk-400 gm +100 gm
🔶Dates-125 gm
🔶Almonds, Pistachio- For garnishing(optional)
⬇️⬇️METHOD ⬇️⬇️
1️⃣Wash 1 kg carrots thoroughly under running water. Peel and fine grate them. A food processor quickens the process of grating.
2️⃣Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan over medium heat. Make sure you use a heavy bottom pan as it helps to prevent halwa from sticking to the bottom and burning
3️⃣Once heated, add cardamom powder.
4️⃣Now add the grated carrots to the pan.
5️⃣Next Pour milk and mix until milk is evaporated (around 25-30 minutes)
6️⃣Once the mixture has turned thick and milk is completely evaporated, add dates and milk paste
7️⃣Mix well and let it simmer for 5 more minutes
8️⃣Gajar ka halwa is ready to serve
9️⃣Garnish with almonds and pistachios(optional)
