Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they are smooth.
Add the unsweetened applesauce, honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bowl with the mashed bananas. Whisk until all the ingredients are well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Add the plain Greek yogurt to the mixing bowl and stir until it is evenly mixed into the batter.
Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake the chocolate banana bread for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
